 Backlight 08 Award to Martin Kollar Backlight Award Backlight Award (5000 €) is the largest international photographic award presented in Finland for photographic art. Each of this year's 56 artists is nominated for the award which will be granted at the vernissage in Tampere on 19 September. The award decision is made by a three-person jury representing the Backlight partner galleries. The official Jury of the Backlight 08 -Tickle Attack Award: Backlight 08 partner in Luxemburg; Paul di Felice (teacher researcher at the University of Luxembourg, independent curator, art critic) speaker for Cafe Creme Art in collaboration with Centre d'art Nei Liicht City of Dudelange. Paul di Felice has been chosen by the Organizers as head of the jury. Backlight 08 partner in Russia; Maria Gourieva is speaker for the National Centre of Photography in St.Petersburg. Backlight 08 partner in Denmark; Beate Cegielska is speaker for Gallery Image. |
