The People of Sequiera Vaddo

“The <Highland Beach Project> is dedicated to those people working for the Tourists in Goa. Sequeira Vaddo in Candolim is a very narrow approach (about 400 meters) between the Candolim main road and the tourist residence. At both sides of the path people from India have set up their business with substantials, crafts and tourists goods. Whenever one leaves the residence and pass the corridor with the shops one has a chance for a chat, for a small talk and one has the chance to listen to and to talk with the people living for and from the tourism. For me these chats and small talks in the beginning of my short stay at the lovely place have been a kind of warm welcome. I got interested in the situation of the people, asked for more details and what is important in their life with the guests.

As a tourist I enjoyed the sun, the food and the sea of Candolim beaches and nearby´s. Whatever I have learned about the mentality in Goa, I have learned from the people you see in the images. I thank them very much for all, their service, the open-minded way they where ready to talk about todays life and their willingness to stage and to write for my project. I wish them always-successful seasons with mainly open-minded tourists."
