Vernissage of the exhibition in Museokeskus Vapriikki.

The curator, Mrs. Ute Eskildsen from Folkwang Museum in Essen (Germany) opened the show.

 

 

Tina Barney´s inside view photographs of the USA East Coast Upper Class are the first time on exhibition tour in Europe and they are only to be seen in Germany, Netherlands, Spain and in Tampere Finland.

Andy Grundberg ´s lecture "Documentary Theater."

It will discuss a number of photographers like Tina Barney, who play with the notion of candid/staged activities or constructed narratives. (E.g., Nan Goldin, Andreas Gursky, Jeff Wall, Phillip Lorca diCorcia).

Andy Grundberg from Washington D.C. has written the essay for the Tina Barney catalogue. He is editor of USA photo-magazine and professional critic for many international art and photography magazines.

Title: Wealth; Students from Tampere University and from University of Industrial Arts in Helsinki will present their portfolios.
