Honory, Alexander Saksa ONE WORLD WITH MANY FACES
“One World With Many Faces is an ongoing project. The aim of the project is to create a record of the faces of people from 12 major cities on four continents. In each city I take photographs and film of 720 city-dwellers in order to capture 8,000 faces from all over the world. All the people are photographed in the same container, in front of the same backdrop, and with the same lighting. In this way the inhabitants of 12 capital cities from different continents come together in the same room and under the same circumstances.”
The cities represented in the installation of the Backlight 02-exhibition are Antwerpen, Bogotá, Lodz and Vienna. |

”Yksi maailma, monet kasvot” on vielä jatkuva projekti. Sen ajatuksena on rakentaa kooste 12 suuren kaupungin asukkaiden kasvoista neljässä eri maanosassa. Jokaisessa kaupungissa otan kuvia ja filmaan 720 kaupunkilaista tallentaakseni 8000 kasvot ympäri maailmaa. Kaikki ihmiset kuvataan samassa tilassa, saman taustan edessä, samalla valaistuksella. Tällä tavoin 12 pääkaupungin asukkaat kokoontuvat yhteen samaan huoneeseen ja samoihin olosuhteisiin.”
Backlight 02 – näyttelyssä olevassa installaatiossa esillä olevat kaupungit ovat Antwerpen, Bogotá, Lodz ja Wien. |
