Photography destroys and effaces the instinct of memory.

Reality, especially memory, becomes defected by images. Actual presence loses its stability and confidence. New forms of presence emerge.

I create my heroes’ recollections, the spaces of their memory. I make them travel to the places in the past so they could bring back their memories – photographs.

Valokuvaus tuhoaa ja himmentää muistimme vaiston.

Todellisuus, erityisesti muisti, heikkenee kuvien voimasta.Todellinen läsnäolo menettää pysyvyytensä ja vakuuttavuutensa. Uusia tapoja olla läsnä nousee esiin.

Luon sankareitteni muistikuvat, heidän muistinsa tilan. Panen heidät matkustamaan paikkoihin menneisyydessä jotta he voisivat tuoda takaisin mukanaan muistonsa – valokuvat.
